Having read the journals of the Lewis and Clark expedition this book was the perfect way to remember the highlights of that adventure. This book has it all: background info of the artist and the paintings, history of the journey and tidbits of quotes and the author's notes.

I respect and admire the time,energy, and effort to complete the mission Mr. Fritz set out to accomplish.

We just saw the original paintings at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, Wyoming, and the pictures in the book are excellent representations of these gorgeous paintings. And of course the Amazon price is better than the bookstore!!.
